The Best Beaches

The Algarve is considered to be the best beach destination in Europe.

This is one of the gala awards won in the European World Travel Awards, which now gives a further boost to tourism in the country and the region.

With more than three dozen nominations, Portugal left the World Travel Awards (WTA) Europe with six awards overall, the most prominent being those that may be useful to the dissemination of tourism in Portugal and reward two niches considered vital to the sector: the country has won the "Oscar" for leading golf destination and the Algarve can now also bear the "Oscar" for best beach destination in Europe.
